I feel that when it comes to walls, we don’t really venture away much from paint or wallpaper. So, I’ve decided to share with you some unconventional wallcoverings, so the next time you are thinking of redecorating, you might venture a bit further away from paint.
This is a really quirky idea by Torafu Architects in Tokyo. The idea of “a place for everything and everything in its place, is taken to a whole new level here. It’s not for everyone, but I reckon it will certainly appeal to the more organised consumer out there.
3D Wall coverings have been used in commercial spaces for some time now, particularly in offices. But, they seem to be making a transition over into residential interiors. Mio Culture have designed these really cool 3d wallpaper tiles and they are pretty cost effective aswell.
The Writings on the Wall
I think we can all remember our mothers shouting at us, “stop writing on the walls”….. 🙂 Well both of these wallcoverings involve writing all over the walls. Designer Christian Postma came up with this large scale wall calender. I think its a great idea of the home office, or indeed the none home office.
The idea of having to paint the exterior of your house can be daunting at the best of times, but Italian design company Wall and Deco have come up with an alternative solution….. Outdoor Wallpaper. They have a range of cool and quirky design. I can’t think of better way to make your house stand out.
