We have been really busy here in the studio over the last few weeks, working on lots of different types of projects. For one of our current projects we have created a concept based on a “Tone on Tone” colour scheme, which is something that we have never done before. So I wanted to show you some of the interiors that inspired us for this new project:
Grey is a really lovely colour to work with if you want to create a calm and relaxed space. Now for those of us who live in Ireland, we need to be careful with the tones of grey that we use. You need to go for brown greys as opposed to blue greys, which can be very cold. If you wish to mix it up a little you could mix in grey greens and more natural tones.
I really love these green rooms, but if you don’t want to go all green, then why not keep most of the room neutral and add one large element in green, such as the curtains in the above image.
Blue is one of my favourite colours to work with, whether that’s navy or teal. There are so many beautiful tones of blue, that it is very easy to create a tone on tone room.
Pink / Red
While this one is not for the faint hearted, you wouldn’t have to go as pink as the this one. If you keep everything else neutral, the walls will do the talking…..
I’m generally all about contrasting colours, so this is a new way of thinking for me, but I have to say I’m really liking it…..
