So, we are working on a project at the moment and one of the key areas in this project is the lighting. We are looking to unconventional lighting and interesting light pendants for this project and I thought that I would show you some of our inspirational images and potential options.
When you are considering a statement piece, an oversized pendant is a great way to go. It can add great drama to a room. Here are some fab unconventional pendants and wall lights…..
So having gathered all our inspiration, we then had to source some options for our project, and here are some amazing statement lights, that are available both here in Ireland and online.
The lights above are from the online store www.rockettstgeorge.co.uk. The image on the left is a great light that allows you to clip on pages, photos, postcards, etc, so you can really personalise it. We also love the oversized letters, a bit more commercial but they could look great in a hallway.
These lights (above) are also from Rockett St George and they are called the King Edison Light. Designed by Young & Battaglia, they combine the pure simplicity of an Edison light bulb with the romance and glamour of a Kings chandelier. We agree that this is not for everyone but it brings together old and new very well.
Another one from Rockett St George, the Bottle Chandalier is a beautiful take on the old chandalier, bringing a vintage feel to it with the use of bottle. We just love it.
This clever light (above) is from Bo Concept. It comes somewhere between a floor lamp and a ceiling pendant, and it could be a great addition to any room.
So if up until now you had only though that lighting was for practical purposes, think again. Putting as much thought into the lighting and in particular the light fitting, can really add the wow factor….
If you are planning a project or you are in the middle of one and you need some guidance, then why not avail of our Open Studio, in our brand new office….. All you have to do is phone 01 4370933 to book an appointment with one of our designers and we’ll do the rest.
