We are working on an office design project at the moment, so I thought that I would show you some of my favourite and most inspirational office spaces, why they work and the importance of good design in the workplace.
I’m sure you can all agree, that it is more important than ever to wow you clients at every opportunity and in every possible way. Creating a unique reception area, gives that all important first impression and can seriously contribute to building trust with potential clients.
Not only can an impressive reception area create a good impression, but it can influence potential clients in a positive way, potentially turning them into existing clients.
Your workspace and the environment around you greatly impacts the way that you work. If you work in an office with no windows, in a blue/grey cubicle. That doesn’t allow for much creativity, right? There are more and more companies adapting to the culture of creative environments, and they are not just doing it for the crack!!!
So, if this kind of environment impacts you and the way that you work, then it will definitely impact your employees. Working in a well designed and creative workspace, can positively influence your employees, not only in the way that they work, but it can increase productivity, produce innovative ideas and reduce rates of sick leave and staff turnover.
All work and no play 🙁
We all need to be stimulated and take some time out of our work day to chill out, reenergise and reboot. Yes, we can go and take a walk or go down the road to the coffee shop, but wouldn’t it be great if there was a cool break out area in the office. Well have a look at some of these….
Many of these companies are also using their break out areas as communal spaces to work in. Employees can just grab their laptop and move their work to another space within this office. Because employees from different teams or departments are sharing the same spaces, high levels of energy and innovation are created very easily.
As always we would love to hear from you! Do you have an interesting workspace, or would you like one? Make sure and let us know….
