So we’ve had a very busy week here in the study, working on lots of exciting projects which we hop to be showing you very soon.
Una, one of the designers here in the office headed over to London at the weekend, and she has come back invigorated, with lots of new ideas and inspiration. So, based on her trip, I am going to take you around some of the cool places that she stayed and visited in Shoreditch, East London.
Qbic hotels, are a group that have a hotel in London and Amsterdam. The London hotel is based in the very cool Shoreditch area in East London.
There is a lovely mix of materials and furniture, making for a very cool and quirky space.
There are a range of different rooms, but Una opted to stay in a cosy room, which consists of an all inclusive pod. Very cool!!!
The Tramshed, owned by chef Mark Hix is situated around 15 min walk from the Qbic Hotel. The concept is beef and chicken to share.
It is probably most famous for the huge Damien Hurst sculpture of a cow and chicken in formaldehyde, which sits pride of place in the center of the restaurant.
The Blues Kitchen
The Blues Kitchen is a must see. Originating in Camden, they have recently opened their second restaurant in Shoreditch.
Not only is the interior amazing, but they also serve southern style food, with live blues bands to serenade you.
If you are planning a trip to London, it is definitely worth checking out the uber cool East End, and make sure to add the above to you list.
