So we have noticed in the last few months that Victorian patterns have been making a huge come back and they are being introduced into every room in the house.
Here are some of our favourite injections of Victorian elegance…..
As you can see in the image above there are different ways to introduce a Victorian element. Obviously the tiles are a more permanent fixture but if you didn’t want something so permanent you could go for a runner.
I absolutely love the tiles used in both of these kitchens. Now while they are teamed with somewhat traditional kitchens I think that they would look amazing in a very contemporary kitchen.
If you are not too keen on using tiles in your dining room but you still want to bring that Victorian element in, then why not consider wallpaper. The blue patterned wallpaper in the image below is a gorgeous alternative to tiles and it’s available from www.wallpaperrockscissors.com
However, if you totally want to steer clear of tiles or wallpaper, then look to the floor for an injection of patterns. This amazing floor rug packs just as much punch as an tile.
I will be the first to agree that when living in a colder climate floor tiles are not the most practical flooring in a living space, but you have to admit that these tiles are amazing…..
If you are considering using Victorian style floor tiles, then one of the best places to check out is Tilestyle. It is situated in the Ballymount Industrial Estate in Dublin.
